Bradley and Pedersen serves local, statewide, national and international individual and business entity clients. Our practice consists of the resolution of legal problems and disputes through litigation. Litigation often leads to conclusion by negotiation, mediation or arbitration. Most of our case work evolves out of relationships based on contract. The practice includes all types of real estate, business and contract disputes, and debt collection. We endeavor to provide high-quality legal services at reasonable rates. We encourage clients to monitor and manage the costs of suit by review of regular monthly invoices.

Litigation

A lawsuit. Legal action, including all proceedings therein. Contest in a court of law for the purpose of enforcing a right or seeking a remedy. A judicial contest, a judicial controversy, a suit at law.

Negotiation

Negotiation is process of submission and consideration of offers until acceptable offer is made and accepted. The deliberation, discussion, or conference upon the terms of a proposed agreement; the act of settling or arranging the terms and conditions of a bargain, sale, or other business transaction.

Mediation

Intervention; interposition; the act of a third person in intermediating between two contending parties with a view to persuading them to adjust or settle their dispute. Settlement of dispute by action of intermediary neutral party.

Arbitration

The reference of a dispute to an impartial third person chosen by the parties to the dispute who agree in advance to abide by the arbitrator's award issued after a hearing at which both parties have an opportunity to be heard.

An arrangement for taking and abiding by the judgment of selected persons in some disputed matter, instead of carrying it to established tribunals of justice, and is tented to avoid the formability's, the delay, the expense and vexation of ordinary litigation.

Compulsory arbitration is that which occurs when the consent of one of the parties is enforced by statutory provisions.

Voluntary arbitration is by mutual and free consent of the parties.
